This re-issue of the original text including over 80 original copperplate engravings, woodblock prints, and lithographs returns the text to its original state, while the accompanying companion volume critically reframes this monumental, but often misunderstood, work. Re-articulating the variety of voices that simultaneously inhabit Tod’s Annals, the revised volume argues for a more conjunctural, contingent, and open-ended reading of colonial history.

Click here for more details and to read sample pages from the book.

The re-issue is available to purchase from Yale University Press here.[/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

Past Publications

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][lab_portfolio_items portfolio_type=”type-2″ columns=”4″ dynamic_image_height=”yes” portfolio_full_width_title_container=”no” portfolio_full_width=”no” portfolio_query=”size:All|order_by:date|post_type:portfolio|tax_query:1485″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row full_width=”stretch_row”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1605789733308{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””] The Royal Asiatic Society Books [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text css=””]The policy of the Society’s Editorial Board is to make available in appropriate formats the results of original research in the humanities and social sciences having to do with Asia, defined in the broadest geographical and…

["post-23243","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
